Bi-weekly Audio book!

The last time I posted an audiobook, I posted "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll. I mentioned that most people know the stories, but few have really read into them or their follow-ups. For instance, most people don't know that there are 14 Oz books- and many other connected works by other authors. I got to thinking and decided to post some lesser-known works from well-known authors- authors such as Lewis Carroll, L. Frank Baum, and C.S. Lewis. They didn't just write one series, most of them had works outside of what we recognize, lesser-known, but no less important books. 

This week I decided to go digging and find something outside of mainstream literature. I decided to go with "The Master Key" by L. Frank Baum. Mostly to stretch my literary knowledge, as it's one I haven't read but have always wanted to.

My problem with "The Three Body Problem"...

While straggling through the wilderness of Netflix shows the other day I came across " The Three Body Problem ". I know of story, mostly of the Chinese novel   by the same name. It's on my reading list, I just haven't gotten to it yet. My list is pretty big, so I prioritize which ones I will read first. This one was high on my list, and that hasn't changed. I suspect there is more in the book than there was in the show. Normally I don't like to watch the show before I read the book, but in this case, I didn't see any good options- There's not much on Netflix I haven't seen, at least from a critical stand point. So when I see something new, I typically like to give it a spin. A lot of my friends recommended the book, so I knew something about it. It went on the old reading list when it was first translated. New year! A little update, a little late.

"A January Morning" J.B. Sommerset (c) 2025 Well, well, well... Look what the cat dragged in, it's 2025. We all knew this was coming, and now it's here. Another year come and and gone, and I am not so sure that's a good thing. 2024 had it's problems, but they were our problems, and 2024 didn't let us fix those problems before everything turned. We went through so much together, so many experiences, and now we have to move on to something new. Let's be clear here, when talking about 2024, we all said the same thing to her: "It's not you, it's me. I am changing and I need my space" (or something along those lines). But secretly we had our eye on 2025, at least the fickle among us did. Now 2025 is here, I find myself having regrets. Did I give 2024 enough of a chance? Was I the one that quit us?
