The Lost Pilgrim

 August was a busy month indeed. I have been working to iron out all the errors, syntax, and punctuation in my next novel: “The Lost Pilgrim”, my first fantasy novel. It chronicles a character “chosen” to write the bible/creation story of a mythical world; a man chosen to be the mouthpiece of the gods.

The first book I tried to write, back in the day, when I was thirteen, was a fantasy novel. I made it twenty pages. My characters had nowhere to go and no stories to tell. So, I shelved it and haven’t touched it again (for over 20 years).

Last year I picked it back up and decided to start over and rewrite it. This time the characters had a purpose. I like it much more this time around. Much like my science fiction world, it’s growing more and more by the day. But with any luck, I will have it done and published in the next month or so!



Like winter, it’s coming.

My problem with "The Three Body Problem"...

While straggling through the wilderness of Netflix shows the other day I came across " The Three Body Problem ". I know of story, mostly of the Chinese novel   by the same name. It's on my reading list, I just haven't gotten to it yet. My list is pretty big, so I prioritize which ones I will read first. This one was high on my list, and that hasn't changed. I suspect there is more in the book than there was in the show. Normally I don't like to watch the show before I read the book, but in this case, I didn't see any good options- There's not much on Netflix I haven't seen, at least from a critical stand point. New year! A little update, a little late.

"A January Morning" J.B. Sommerset (c) 2025 Well, well, well... Look what the cat dragged in, it's 2025. We all knew this was coming, and now it's here. Another year come and and gone, and I am not so sure that's a good thing. 2024 had it's problems, but they were our problems, and 2024 didn't let us fix those problems before everything turned. We went through so much together, so many experiences, and now we have to move on to something new. Let's be clear here, when talking about 2024, we all said the same thing to her: "It's not you, it's me. I am changing and I need my space" (or something along those lines). But secretly we had our eye on 2025, at least the fickle among us did. Now 2025 is here, I find myself having regrets. Did I give 2024 enough of a chance? Was I the one that quit us?
